Where Is Jesus Today?
When St. Paul visited the Mars Hill, in Athens, he saw that they were worshiping idols and they had an altar dedicated to the unknown God. He told them that the God, who made the world and all things, does not dwell in temples made with hands. It is He who gives to everybody life, breath and all things. Then he gave the Athenians a warning: “And the times of this ignorance, God overlooked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30).
Today, we still worship idols like: money, drugs, alcohol, sex, possessions, positions, etc. and in the process, we totally forget about Him who is able to condemn us into everlasting suffering!
What place does Jesus have in our lives today? Friend, if He is not at the top, we will NOT see the Kingdom of God.
And this is something we all need to remember; that though God is merciful, His mercy is not forever! This truth is in the Gospel.
