Don’t Give Up (There Is A Miracle For You Too!)

In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 19, verse 26, Jesus said “with God all things are possible”. We need hope these days with so many people out of work and in a state of economic distress; unable to even provide food for their families, many people feel hopeless. But there is true hope and it can be found in the words of the Lord Jesus in the Bible, which is the anointed, the Living Word of God.

Indeed, nothing is impossible with Him. Consider the miracle of the man who was born blind but after Jesus touched him, in an instant he was able to see. We read about this incredible miracle in the Gospel of John 9:1, 6 and 7 where it says: “¹And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth; ⁶When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay; ⁷And said unto him, go, wash in the pool of Siloam. He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing”.  One does not have to be a doctor to know that the organs associated with our vision are pretty complex, but yet in an instant God corrected this man’s defect and he was able to see.

Let us look at another awesome miracle which shows how great truly the Lord is, and that with Him indeed “nothing is impossible”. We read in the Gospel of John again how Jesus raised His friend Lazarus who was dead for four days. Now the climate in the area where this miracle took place is known to be hot, and after four days, the body was in a state of decomposition, but this was not an issue with the Living God.  We read in John 11:39-44: “Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. ⁴⁰ Jesus saith unto her, said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? ⁴¹ Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. ⁴² And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. ⁴³ And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. ⁴⁴ And he that was dead came forth”.  How can that be? It’s a miracle! In an instant all the decomposed organs were revitalized and the dead man stood up and walked. We cannot explain this with cause and effect because it’s a miracle, and only the Living God can do miracles.  And if you believe in Him you too can see miracles in your life, no matter what kind of challenges you are facing. Is it unemployment, illness, a failing business, addictions, finances, etc? Whatever it is, He can make the impossible possible, and you too, can receive your miracle. Don’t give up! 

But the Lord God wants us to have faith in Him, to believe that He is able to provide what He had promised. In the epistle to the Hebrews, we read: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). 

Don’t give up, but seek the Lord Jesus in prayer; He is listening, and He wants to help you because He LOVES you! Look here what He told His disciple: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matt. 21:22). And this promise is for you too!
